From there we walk a short distance to the extraordinary Underground Basilica cistern. We cross the Bosphorous on a public ferry to have lunch in Asian side of Istanbul. The restaurant Ciya Sofrasi is located in the local market of Kadikoy (Chalcedon) and the food will be a delicious culinary adventure. After lunch we explore this lovely market and take the ferry back to Europe. More exploration will follow as we walk through the old Pera and Galata districts and culminate the tour by having a glass of wine or cold beer at the terrace of a hotel next to the 14th century Galata Tower.
